Smartphone gaming has been a giant pile of stolen ideas and blatant ripoffs for a LONG time now. It's amazing to me how some of these companies get away with this sort of thing.

It's interestingly amazing that smartphone derivatives of earlier franchises like Battleship Girl R manage to profit greatly with little to no backlash from companies of the former...

Well, if you don't talk about translated interface, the Android port of KanColle with no restrictions of IP was released months ago on the DMM Store. Which is technically same thing as original and with the synced data between original browser game and mobile version.

It's almost like role reversing.

Japan used to copy from China, now China copies from Japan.

I'm not much of a gamer, but if an English version of KanColle was put out, I would certainly play it. Would even get a PS Vita, if that's the form it came in.

I think Heishi may be referring to how Japan's kanji and most of their vocabulary was borrowed from the Chinese many eras earlier...

Is Battleship Girl R what they're calling it now? I'm pretty sure that most people know it as Warship Girls (or 战舰少女, if you insist on the original Mandarin).

At least Warship Girls actually gives the Allied navies the respect they rightfully deserve, so there's that, I guess.

Oh, so that's the case. Well, old civilization borrowed so many words from other foreign language and input those words as for being of their own all the time so that can't be help. I recalled learning in class years back how my original language has borrowed words from Japanese, English, Sankrit and many others.

I got a question to ask regarding the subject of this article. Why did they that's responsible for this decided to released the game in Japan? Aren't they afraid of backlash from Kancolle fans and creator?

Maybe this'll inspire the devs of Kancolle to give us more Kai Ni remodels faster than new ships are introduced?

Not the first time it has happened.
There's also going to be an American copy called Victory Belles which is like Kantai Collection but includes all of the ships from both sides of the War and uses foreign voice actors to voice the ships of their nationality. (eg. Russian ships voiced by Russian voice actors, British SHips voiced by British voice actors etc).

No it is already at good pace. We are at 3rd year since Kancolle out and we get Kai Ni about more than 50 ship. Total ships in game so far are 200++. So if they fast to include all upgraded remodel it will be lose the charm to attract new players. It will be grinding zombie fest and you will lose interest to play anymore since all things are already made by devs. I prefer Kancolle game last for about more than 10 years.
