In the world of the future, all will be moe anthropormorphizations. There are no exceptions. Resistance is futile.

In fact, the very idea of resistance will itself be given a moe anthropormorphization. She will be angry and yell at the other moe idols, until they pat her on the head and say "there, there" and then they will all be friends and sing and dance together.

The living will envy the dead... for their gravestones will feature idol carvings.

Have people started complaining yet? Rolling Eyes Razz

In all seriousness, these campaigns are pretty out of hand and feel incredibly desperate a lot of the time. It kind of makes me sad as it feels like Japan is slowly and literally dying as time goes on... Crying or Very sad

I love the thinly-veiled sexual references. Who actually read the description without laughing? Rolling Eyes

Well, when all else fails to attract customers, and turning the hot springs into a Pokemon Go "Poke Stop" runs the risk of electrocution (cellphone charger + water), then go with what works. But, I'm not sure it's appropriate to lure a bunch of young men to a hot spring with the promise of suggestively themed, two-dimensional girls. At least there will be plenty of washcloths to go around! Laughing

Moe is Cuteness, Moe is Life. Moe Forever!!! Smile

Just yesterday i watched a program in NHK were they talked about a company that only works in this kind of campaigns. They have artists for creating moe characters to been used in this campaigns.
They talked about a aquarium that had declining visitor numbers until they use a moe character. After that the public began to increase, so this works.

Enjoying a warm bath in a hot spring while hearing a nine-idol group sing out a tune...
Priceless. Smile

Edit: Alright! 5100 posts.

They're little more than mascots; mascots drawn with a particular style, but mascots nonetheless. The real difference is that they're giving mascots to things that would never have them in the west and that they're creating them at a breakneck rate when mascots seem to be dying off over here.

More like another element of culture has been enhanced. Although, this would've been better if Yui Ogura voiced Yuina, but she's most likely busy at the moment and Yoshino's voice actress is just fine.

Considering idol series tend to have mostly female casts (possibly so they can get all those GL teasing) how about an idol series that is a harem with non-wussy male MC?
