with the two new series in ultra jump coming soon may this mean cancellation for the serie or what ?

I think it's just ending, not likely cancelled. I was under the impression that it was always planned to be a rather short series. The first half adapting the original trailers, while the second half would be a manga-original arc. The final chapter count seems about right, assuming it never strayed from the original "half-and-half" plan.

So this is going to end before Viz even gets caught up, huh. I've been reading this only because it was in ESJ, but as someone who's never watched the show, this manga doesn't really do anything for me.

As a slice of dumb, one travk action, RWBY the manga is fine. Will I miss it come the conclusion? Not really.

That was my impression too; I had thought the manga was to act as a prequel for the main series' timeline.
I'd love to see more manga adaptations/side stories from RWBY if they're as fun and high quality as this one. Cannot wait to add it to my shelves.
