I didn't know Media Blasters still licensed anything except hentai, let alone dubbed. And why are they dubbing this show of all things? The synopsis sounds really stupid and I've never heard of it until now.

I'm still surprised as to how Media Blasters cancelled their dub of Bakuman, but they got the OK for this Sega-fangirl schlock.

Kinda disheartening, if you ask me.

That's the power of Brittany Lauda for you. She pulls in talent from literally *everywhere*. The Ladies vs. Butlers had voice actors from NY, Dallas, Houston, LA, and even Canada.

Wasn't Luffy voiced by Bella Hudson in the 4KIds One Piece dub? Or am I wrong?

Also, Clifford's got good taste in video games.

Click the link; Bella Hudson is just an alias for Erica Schroeder.

There are only 3 episodes to this, I am honestly surprised it seems like every other day there is news for this show about the cast.

Also if I remember correctly the manga went on indefinite hiatus, so, yeah be prepared for three episodes of build up that go no where. If I remember correctly.

The anime sucks anyway.

Yeah, this anime was one of those times where the premise of a series really intrigued me (I was looking forward to what is essentially the early 90's console wars represented in a fantasy setting), but it ended up basically trashing itself almost right off the bat.

Unnecessary fanservice, not even good fanservice, littered the first episode; this persisted, even became worse, throughout the other two episodes, to the point of being uncomfortable. Then it wasn't exactly clear (at least from what I remember) that this was pretty much an OVA that the studio decided to run on TV, so I assumed the rest of the series had been delayed and they just aired the first episode early as a preview; episode 2 eventually came...and then another several month break until episode 3....and then it ended. Neither of those two episodes advanced the plot much at all beyond where the first episode left off, it just ended with little fanfare whatsoever. By the end of it, I had lost all interest and didn't even want to read the manga (which I assume was the whole point of only doing three episodes for a series with enough published content to do a two-cour adaptation, to get me to read the manga). The momentum the series had for me within its first few minutes had completely evaporated.

I have no clue why Media Blasters is trying to hype up a dub of this disappointment nearly 4 years after the last episode aired. The window of interest/relevancy was back in 2013, and most of the characters here don't get much more than a handful of lines due to the extremely short length of the anime, so they may as well be announcing background characters. If this is the best Media Blasters can do to stay relevant, they should probably stay buried. (And yes, I'm still livid about what happened with Bakuman.)

The artists behind the original manga are part of Crimson Comics, which are most well known for their hentai-doujinshi (including FireEmblem-stuff, where they might've just recycled some designs from), so it is weirdly fitting?

PS: Chris Niosi writing the script? Okay, now I am expecting them to just completely take the piss out of it.

I seriously hope for the manga's sake that it's better than the anime, because Jesus Christ....

Realistically I doubt they will have much success considering the NYC talent pool is mainly limited to doing Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! That explains, in part, why some of the talent have moved to LA or Dallas.
