Thought this was the new IP they mentioned a while back, but considering Hashino's the director, I kind of doubt that. I'm really curious what norms he's supposedly "challenging" with this title, though. Hopefully the stream won't just announce a title and release window.

Also, it's nice to see Soejima doing fantasy art for the first time in forever.

Interesting, definitely gonna keep my eyes on this.
I only wonder how 'separate' its going to be. Both the Shin Megami Tensei and persona are independent of each other but they are quite similar in other aspects.
Nonetheless if they can create a story or franchise that is as interesting as their previous works then great.
Who knows maybe by the time it's out it'll be playable in VR.

And here I was, still hoping for a new Devil Survivor... Guess I won't be seeing that happening for the next 5 or so years, huh.

Persona is a spin off of SMT, and is still part of the same franchise.

Unless they want to challenge the definition of "new IP," this isn't a reboot or sequel of something else. So, no "Stella Deus" reboot. (Or "Radiant Historia 2," either. Sad )

EDIT: Could always be a spiritual successor, though.

It took almost a decade for Persona 5 to be released after Persona 4 came out.. I don't think we'll be seeing a Persona 6 anytime soon. Heck we haven't even gotten it outside of Japan yet lol

This new ip does look interesting but I'll probably have great grandkids by the time this is out (I'm 23) Crying or Very sad

So apparently, the project is only at the concept stage and they won't even start hiring for it until after the stream. Yeah, we aren't seeing this game for a while.
