You just can't beat the original Yu-Gi-Oh. GX and 5D's were fine, but everything since then just completely lost me and the original remains my all time favorite.

Yeah they should have ended the series long ago. 5D's was a perfect series to end it all. And then the disaster known as Zexal came. And now with Arc-V it seemed like the best way to end the franchise, but no. We need another series that''ll only be another comercial for the card game and is there to intoduce people to new summoning method :/

It sure was easier back in the day were there was only the original series.

Amen to that.

Like, I hate being the hipster that praises the original series from dawn until dusk, but seriously the original was just so great when compared to everything that came after it. Even the movies agree because all three of them have featured Yugi as pretty much the central character despite two of them premiering YEARS after the original series concluded, and the latest one here is all about the original cast just like the first movie was.

PoL was a 4Kids production because they know Americans only care about Yugi and wanted to milk DM as much as they can.

BBT and DSOD are anniversary movies. They don't 'admit' to the original being the best any more than the PreCure, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, or any other established franchise that have movies featuring older characters do. Calling Yugi the central character of BBT is just false, it was a 5D's movie and Yusei was the main focus and the entire story ties into the series.

If all someone cares about is their nostalgia childhood to the point they'll sit through a new 4Kids dub that's on them, but to say the later series are somehow lesser or not popular is just plain false, and only shows a lack of knowledge of the franchise.

You guys keep saying it opens in Canada on the same day, but I've found no theatres listing that date.

Same. I had all but forgotten the original voice cast thanks to the Abridged series lol

I have to say, this struck all my nostalgia buttons. I'll give this a go, why the hell not. Very Happy I never thought I'd say this about Yu-Gi-Oh! but that animation looks pretty sleek.

Well sure if you ignore how wonky the rules were in the TV show during the Duelist Kingdom arc.

Umm of course their gonna make more Yugioh, it's Konami & Studio Gallops cash cow. Ending Yugioh would be like if Sunrise ended Gundam. Their not gonna end it until it stops selling.
