That's just what they want you to think before they sell you the "Golden" version that has tons of new content.

"Exclusive" or very limited release.

Honestly given the fact the both potatos run x68 chips like PCs these days i don't get why any company would limit their sales by locking them to one or the other. Some PC titles are PC only due to GPU needs, but there's nothing that they can do that PCs can't do better.

What's keeping you from just getting a PS3 or PS4?

That's no surprise. Atlus USA and more likely Atlus JP, hates PC.

PC doesn't have very much quality control. Most PC versions run inferior to console versions, and designing games for set hardware is easier than the multiple types of compatibility issues with PCs. Piracy hurts as well. Its not surprising why most developers focus on consoles. The ones that don't are usually low budget studios who can't afford to so they're forced to deal with Steam.

Makes sense for them to hold up for the time being. Maybe if the Switch is a big hit and it makes sense, who knows. With the time it took to make the game I'm not surprised they aren't in any rush to be porting to anything.

Fxck this shit.. Rolling Eyes

For a more mature response though, it's sad to see that I ain't going to be able to try Persona 5 and any Yakuza title in existence, seeing that I don't own a console because I'd spent so much money on upgrading my desktop. Guess that is unavoidable because piracy does ran more rampant for any title that get released on PC, and at least Night of Azure and Nier Automata would be there for me to enjoy soon.

That's Master-Racist :p

Well Japanese audience on PC is much lower, so unless you want your game on handheld or cell phone, console is the way to go.

Multiplat releases require more work with more issues than focusing on ibe console. Sony probably had to twist tgeir arm just to put it on PS4 too.

PC releases need lots of qa for multiple configs and is certainly a hassle, and given your main fanbase is 99percent in console willing to spend $60 at launch, why bother with PC.

Yes there are a lot of dedicated day 1 PC gamers, but us this title really a fit for that scene to make it worth the initial investment? Maybe better to have one done much later at a cheaper price to satisfy those PC players who likely are waiting for a sale anyway, and make the specs ridiculously high so as to not bother with qa optimization to save costs?

But if that just gets you bad PR, better not to. Not that it wouldn't be nice to have a PC version, if only for mods.. then again, maybe mods are a reason the devs dont want it there knowing the things we see.. :p

Understandable. I'll play them if/when they're available on PC then. Or I'll just watch people play them on Twitch. If Atlus doesn't want my money and feels that it's a better business decision to be Sony exclusive then that's understandable.

Though, I'm pretty sure the 'multiple config' argument is a rather outdated one, since there are two different specific hardware models of PS4 now that each have different display configurations from the other and Atlus is releasing this on PS3 as well I believe which has an entirely different architecture altogether. Considering the PS4 architecture is much, much, closer to that of Windows PC than the PS3 it's rather obvious that the reasoning by Atlus' decision is not one in which the technical difficulty of the port factored in heavily if at all.

Makes sense until you remember all the Persona games (and their remakes/rereleases) have only ever been on Sony platforms.

Guess that'll be the first Persona game iI wont be able to play them. I've already owned a ps1, psp and ps2, but i have no money to buy a ps3/ps4, since the ps4 is like 3k bucks here in the country i'm at, and the ps3 1k, not to mention the mad money i have to spend on buying 3ds games, meaning: i'm totaly broke. My only hope would be a PC release, but oh well, seems Atlus doesn't like money as much as i thought, huh.
