I can't confirm this, but supposedly the guy that did his voice in the episode also does the Japanese dub for Pawn Stars.

Off Topic: Anyone else liking all the non-engrish text in this show?

Perhaps Chumlee has unwittingly found a new area within LWA where more people may have an interest in historical artifacts... Wink
In any case, it's fantastic that Studio Trigger decided to pay homage to Pawn Stars by giving Chumlee a bit of airtime.

I'm really curious what other American cable shows and/or channels they get in Japan. Someone should do an article on that.

Heh, this is a pleasant surprise, even though I shouldn't be surprised considering the original movie for LWA had cameos of Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls. Pretty clearly, some people at Studio Trigger are watching American television. (Or at least Japanese airings of American television.)

Kill la Kill also made references to the Terminator and Pulp Fiction, as well as a number of old school shows/anime like Sukeban Deka, Kekko Kamen, Dokonjo Gaeru, Mazinger and Devilman.

Speaking of Inferno Cop. Let's see if we get the crossover everyone's been wanting. An Inferno Cop/Axe Cop Crossover.
