Lightning in first place? No Rydia or Rosa? Damn kids. Of course the results would skew towards newer games in the series. FFXIII came out seven years ago, so the respondents were probably still in middle school when that game came out, and XIII-3 is only three years old. I had just turned 30 when FFXIII was released, and FFIV was my first FF game, having played it back in 1992 at age 12 when it was still called "Final Fantasy II" in the West. I guess what's still "new" to me is "nostalgia" to people who are only a little over half my age, and what's nostalgic to me is simply before their time. Not that I don't like Lightning. She's good-looking and a badass to boot. But does she deserve first place? Ehhhh...

Of course there's someone who mentioned Rena/Lenna/Reina considering the When They Cry character of the same name is based off her.
Do not understand the Lightning love at all, but I can dig the rest of the list. Rydia is best though! |
