Quite a few big and well-known authors there...wonder how long it'll be before these new series get the axe the way Shounen Jump has been lately.

In all seriousness though, I loved Beelzebub to death so I'm sure I'll like Ryuhei's new work. Also interested in Robot X Laserbeam as I like sports series, and Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai has my curiosity piqued.

A few to look forward too.

Is not lately, Shonen Jump as been always like this! In fact last year it had less and axed less series, and this 6 new series(A Magazine record!) is due to that precise fact.

The new age of WSJ continues. Let's see if even half of these survive. Hopefully the Boichi one is good.

A good chunk of these titles sound promising as hell! U19 has the most of my attention since it's got juveniles living the hard life! Of course I would only appreciate it if done right. If the author places emphasis on the characterization more than the ordeals they must go through then it's caught my eye. Robo no Ryūgakuki seems intriguing as well, not much of a premise but it's got a robot coming from hell and that alone gets my attention. Dr. Stone also seems nice but seeing how the word "crisis" is in quotations I'd rather not get my hopes up.

Yeah, don't let Boichi handle the story, he messed up pretty badly with Sun-Ken Rock's retarded humor, he's great at drawing though!!

Of these only Dr.Stone jumps out at me as something to keep an an eye on. Since English Jump has been so thin lately (One Piece, My Hero, Promised Neverland, and Black Clover being the only weekly regulars) I hope we see at least half of these as Jump Starts, and half of those make it to ongoing.

Viz has been kind of hesitant to pick up series lately (why didn't we get Amalgam of Distortion? Especially after Red Sprite crashed and burned) but I'm optimistic with so many launching we'll see at least two make it to ongoing.

The ones that jump out at me are the robot student diary and Dr. Stone, but these are bare bones plot summaries with not much to go on. I'm picturing the robot diary as a funny slice-of-life (robots observations on human behavior), and Dr. Stone as an exciting post-apocalyptic adventure (or parody thereof, because "crises" is in quotes. Either way could be good!)

Six new series means that six series will be axed in WSJ.

But seriously, golf?! Well, we got amazing cooking and sumo manga, so why not getting an epic golf manga?

I know you guys were talking about the ones that started in November, but please don't be lazy and not add Amalgam of Distortion and Spring Weapon Number One. Which only started a month prior.

At the time they had 4 more series going than they do now, so I imagine the localization teams had their hands full, and by the time Love Rush and Red Sprite called it quits it was probably apparent that Amalgam isn't doing great in Japan and so probably not worth catching up with translation-wise.

As for the new series I would definitely like to see these as at least jump starts - it's fun to see what new stuff is coming into the magazine and speculating on what may or may not stick. Here's hoping any of them can be half as strong as Promised Neverland has been so far!

Some of these sound like they have nice potential. I'll be keeping an eye out for news on them as they develop.

I'm now a die-hard fan of KuroBas which in turn got me into a plethora of sports anime; while I hold exactly zero interest in golf I'll be impressed if Fujimaki can draw me into that world too.

Robot X Laserbeam is a really misleading title. I don't think anyone would see that title alone and figure it must be about golf with neither robots nor laser beams.

Maybe that's why he's doing strictly illustrations this time around. Maybe he knows his writing is bad.

My guess is that the people at Viz thought Red Sprite would succeed. At least they guessed right with The Promised Neverland.

That's a shame. Amalgam of Distortion had a pretty promising start.
