Oh hurray!
The light over their private areas is funny, but I wonder if that'll turn people off from buying the BDs since it's not a temporary censorship measure. |

Have you even watched the series? The comment strikes me as having little understanding of what kind of series this is. The director and scriptwriter have done this kind of meta humor before in a number of series and it works quite well. I'd hope most of the audience actually appreciates it rather than being turned off. |

I recommend you read the first volume. The anime is just following the source material, which is a gag the very author introduced as a censor with an actual meaning behind it. |

Interesting that Sasaki will be directing this OVA and not Ohta. This will be Sasaki's first time as director (from what I can tell anyway). It's cool that he was able to move from Inbetweens in the early 2000s to Background Artist and Key Animator to now Director.

Ohta is not being replaced. Sasaki is the episode director (演出). |

What's even funnier is that in the 1st pic you can clearly see that their is nothing to censor,as hair and arms or whatever other obstructions are already doing that for them. |
