It obviously will be a short since there is not enough material to adapt.
When did these two last girl appeared in manga? I don't remember them

It is possible for it to be a full length but it'll be a small stretch since chapters are weekly jump size but in a monthly format and right now on mangahere there are 26 chapters out. So it'll be like 2 chapters a episode or 3 if they can get to 36 by July because it ain't a 4 koma

Having read the manga, I knew before I even opened the link who Eri Kitamura was going to play. I don't know whether I should be glad or disappointed that I can spot a character she'd be typecast as so easily

You are forgetting that anime production starts few monts before official annoucement, which means they had even less material.

True but don't they usually ask the author what's going to happen in future chapters so they can animate it or something like that like in Akame ga Kill the anime original ending was similar with it's ending. Also I think the character Yui Ogura plays appeared at the end of the chapter 26
