Papa to Oyaji no Uchi-gohan is totally getting an anime this year or next year. It's getting more and more attention, there's already a drama CD (with Nakamura Yuuichi as Sengoku, and Sakurai Takahiro as Harumi) and it's one of those relatable, heartwarming family stories that tend to be well-received. And it is in fact pretty good, despite the "no homo, really!" thing going on. (Not that it's particularly convincing, I mean who even takes one's housemate to visit one's parents?)
Being an absolute disaster in the kitchen I also appreciate the recipes - I've seen people complaining that the food is not "gourmet" or even particularly special stuff, but that's kind of the point: simple things that even a random everyday person like myself can cook. Maybe they're just waiting for people to forget about Sweetness and Lightning... |

Yaoi is a genre that simply isn't for me, I understand it and respect the genre and the fans. So I personally found it amusing that when I checked this series out due to rising popularity, I kept thinking "Can they just date already?". It's a pleasant series but not for me, however I do hope the people that enjoy it get a good anime adaption. |
