Hopefully Crunchyroll will stream it sooner that that. Like the Comico app, they made all 13 episodes of the original series available before they even aired on Japanese television.
Still, this is a very cool, unexpected announcement, and I'm glad this sweet show will have an actual conclusion. Is the manga ending, too?

Where the manga is at currently, I can't imagine it ending any time soon. That could be why there's a delay in the release of this 4-episode run. I think they're going to try and end it in a similar way to the manga.

Yeah, is the manga ending? I really liked the anime and the story, but a "finale" will ring hollow if its anime-original.

Awesome! I hope it's a solid conclusion. Not often we actually get things like this!

Wow great news i wonder though if they will be able to fit it all into 4episodes only, been reading the manga since the anime ended and it doesnt seem like it would end soon and if it will continue for another year there would be enough material for 12episodes probably.

Claiming this finale will cover the end of the experiment screams anime original to me and that has me extremely nervous. There's no way four episodes can adapt everything the manga's currently covering, plus whatever it will cover within the next year without serious rushing.

If these aren't standard 22 minute episodes, and they decide to not cover the annoying, awful, boring, months long arcs like the most recent one where Ohga avoids his girlfriend because his brothers a NEET, they could probably wrap the entire series up. The manga is like 67 chapters ahead of where the anime finished, and a ton of that is really bad stuff with little to no focus on the two ReLifers.

Awesome, ReLife is great.
Wish this was commonplace. Give animes actual conclusions dammit, however you have to do it.

I know I'm in the minority but I thought the anime was plenty conclusive. I could easily imagine where it would go and felt the major emotional arcs had enough resolution. That said, I'll still watch the wrap up if it streams.

I wasn't as hyped about ReLIFE as everyone else originally seemed to be, but I still thought it was pretty good and wanted more. Not sure how much a four-episode OVA can add to an ongoing manga, but I'll happily watch it.
