That was quicker than I thought. End to another era. I remember when I was in middle school when I read the firat volume. I stopped reading after a while, but it's sad to see so much manga come to an end.

Well considering how the latest chapter went i wonder what he has planned. He could end this arc next chapter if im being honest spoiler[zeref and acno are both done in so theres no more enemies to fight]. of course theirs still the possibility of spoiler[lucy and gray being corrupted by END but i dont think he's going to do anything with that plot line.]

Oh don't worry Hiro will definitly pull something out his butt, how much you wanna bet that the next problem in those 10 chapters will be solved with THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!!!!! spoiler[ Also that plot point with Lucy being corrupted by the Book of END, propably won't such a big deal. She's connected to Natsu and his BS powers now, so it'll be a repeat of the Dragon and Demon Seeds. She just deicdes she doesn't wanna die and everyone lieves happily ever after xP] |

Fairy Tail holds a special place in my memories, but the recent chapters have gone the way of the last arc of Naruto as well (though not as drawn out).
I imagine the last 10 will be about closure - maybe address the book for a chapter or two, then wrap things up with all the characters and relationships. I would so much rather have that than the friendship power ass pulls that seems to be one of the main themes. |

All these people on various sites talking about FT being so fanservice heavy.
Did we read the same thing? The girls and their bodies are rarely the focus they wear somewhat normal outfits and FT has about the same level of Fanservice as something like One Piece where Nami walks around in a bikini top 90% of the time and no one complains about that. At least in FT the girls actually get to fight which is more than could be said for a lot of JUMP Series, Nami and Robin rarely get to fight, Sakura got two solo fights in the whole series and Orihime was nothing but an perpetual damsel in distress. At least Fairy Tail let it's girls look good and be strong at the same time. |

Clearly we arent reading the same thing. The last 3-4 arcs of Fairy tail have had so many random and unecessary cheeseckae shots and panels its ridiculous. Comparing it to One Piece is a false equivalency. Nami's body isnt constantly shoved in the auidences faces at inapproapriate times like say the heat of battle or a serious scene (which is basically when all of FTs fanservice happens). Its just her normal clothing. Its the same with Cana and no one says anything about her either. Honestly how am i supposed to take Erza's fight seriously (which is a trick question because i haven't felt tension in an Erza fight since Tenrou) when her ass and crotch are shoved in my face all the time? Same goes with Lucy. I love her as a character (Despite how she's rarely allowed to do anything on her own without Natsu around) but there is a reason a good chunk of the fandom sees her as nothing more than fanservice fodder. If her butt isnt forced on you its her boobs and dont get me started on some of the things Mashima has made Wendy (who is 12), Carla (a cat), and Mavis (who is eternally 12) do in some of those chapter covers. |

Good. Achnolgia ended up being a disgraceful villain, and Zeref was just disappointing in his execution.
These last few chapters of FT were almost as bad as Bleach's. And that's saying something. I will however miss the series because when it was in its prime it was a good Shonen series. Nothing exceptional, but still very entertaining. |
