Although I would think the card is worth quite more than that, I think it's disgusting that someone saw fit to auction such a rare prize on ebay.

I can only hesitate to guess how much it would have collected at Expo's charity auction.

I'm not surprised it showed up on ebay. People auction unbelievable stuff on there all the time, and if it wasn't of great value to the owner, naturally he would sell it. At least it gives others a chance to own such a prize.

I know that personally something signed by Rumiko Takahashi would be worth half the universe to me. *missed the convention exclusive human Inu-Yasha* Sad

i wonder how the artists feel personally when people take their work for granted like this.

The woman makes $3 million a year. Do you think she gives a flying fart about $670 and some scrap of cardboard that crossed her desk just long enough for her to write her name on it?

wow, if I owned such a card, I would frame it and hang it on my wall, personally. I mean, it's Rumiko Takahashi!! I may not care about the InuYasha series that much, but I would love to have something that was signed by a manga-ka. Anime catgrin

You have to be kidding me right. Big deal. $600 or a card with a scribble on it. I know would I would take. I don't even see the point of having an autograph unless you have had something signed personally, that way it's a momento of the day you met so and so. In anycase it's not the autograph that cost the money, it's just the fact that it's such a rare card. One could probably pick up a picture autographed by Rumiko Takahashi fairly cheap.

Yeah i would have sold it to. ONly autographed stuff I have i got personally from the people as a mememento of the con and also the plus side of getting something autographed by the staff of the show I liked but I would never pay for a autograph.

I don't know if I would have kept it or sold it. I don't particularly care for the Inuyasha series, but I do enjoy Urusei Yatsura.

In any case, the figure is low because apparently the auction was only open to US bidders. The figure would likely have been higher if the auction was open to worldwide bidders.

If I had the card I would of kept it and frame it. Something like that is priceless for a fan.

What that person did was underhanded and selfish. Well a person has to make a buck to survive.

Actually, it's rather unselfish of them to put it up for sale. If they didn't really want it, what's the point in depriving others of getting the chance to own it? That's the biggest draw of ebay, getting a chance to buy stuff that you would never get a chance to own otherwise.
