Knowing it's the creator of No Game No Life, one would hope the novel is better than the currently airing anime adaptation...

I guarantee it is. the anime was a major disappointment compared to the novel

One would expect it to be good cause it's the same author of No Game No Life.

Or just could be another Black Cat Anime-Manga, or GITS Anime Movie-Manga case, where I found both manga to be worse in every possible way. Also, Clockwork's premise sounds waaaaaaaaaaaay too boring for anyone to read it, so I, and no one, should believe the novel is better until whatever good qualities it has are proven to be true.

Sorry, but if you say the novel it's good, prove it, instead of saying: ""READ IT, IT'S THE BEST VERSION"". I'm tired of this phrase already.

NGNL is a "Cowriter", but honestly this could just mean the author came up with the idea or helped with some plot ideas. In the end, I personally think his name on the cover was just a marketing strategy, with Kamiya helping out a friend by lending his name.

Anyways, I guess I'll wait for reviews before reading it myself, because the anime doesn't build a good case for it.

I think this is a pretty big deal for a company that hasn't even been running for an entire year now. I don't care about light novels in general, there are only a few select ones I like, for example Kino's Journey, Baccano, Durarara or older ones from the 90's. J-novel also got a print deal with Seven Seas on 2 of their series earlier as well, this company truly is off to a promising start.

Well the first part of the novel is literally free, so you could easily read it and decide for yourselves.

Yeah. I read the LN way before the anime and I ended up dropping the anime cause it was so bad. I loved the LN and couldn't believe how aw some it was, the anime was such a let down.

See what I mean? Don't tell me that it's the best version. Tell me why it's the best version. That's what I hate, they don't explain why. It basically obligates people not interested in reading the novel, to waste their time on the novel, so they say later "I didn't like it" because they found it bad. You could save anyone's time by saying why is the best version.

And I think this thing doesn't have any best version from the premise alone. It's yet another exaggeration of the phrase I mentioned before.

Now if Kadokawa allowed it I hope J-Novel gets their hands on Itsu-Ten. For so long I've been wondering how that series ended.

What you are saying is you want someone else to do the work for you? Since the first part is free, all it would take is 10 or 15 minutes of your time to try and see if you like it. If that is too much trouble you probably don't have the time to read a full novel anyway. Even if someone else likes it and says why, it is not a guarantee you will like it for the same reasons. When it comes to entertainment, the only opinion that matters is yours.

That's good news. This will make newcomers see why LN readers have been so pissed about the anime.
The anime removed almost all sense of world-building and characterization, has continuously skipped, rushed and/or altered events, and has thus given no reason to even get attached to these characters. It doesn't help that anime-RyuZU is nothing like LN-RyuZU.
The Director and Script Writer of the CP anime have only worked on comedy series before. CP is NOT a comedy, it's a sci-fi/drama with a couple brief action scenes and very occasional jokes (mainly in volume 1). Makes me question why they didn't pick better staff...
