I really wish this was done by bones or Madhouse so I can finally see Godzilla beautifully animated in 2D instead of crappy CG.

I'm mean after seeing latest episode of MHA , it really make me sad seeing more CG anime series. I gonna be really sad to see hand drawn animation dies out.

Before we start the doomsaying, keep in mind this is done by an studio that has always done full CG shows. It's not like 2D studios are switching to full CG.
Also, not all full CG shows are "crappy". I'd wish that stigma would die already.
There's only one studio I know that are switching from 2D to full CG. And that's Toei Animation. And Toei's 2D animation has been crticised for years already. However, their CG productions (Kado and Exiled from Paradise) have been more praised.. Can't we just like both good CG and 2D productions without demonizing CG? Is that so much to ask?

Their plotting has gotten worse; I gather the trip outbound was done by "just under" light speed so our main character ages twenty years over 20,000 years instead of what I thought was 10,000... or it's just a bad hyper sleep which they age twenty years while asleep, your guess at which is worse.... as the return trip is through a "dangerous long-distance hyperspace navigation"...

It makes me miss the space apes and space cockroaches of 70s Godzilla.

Right, desired result: Out of control mutation of Godzilla and the planet itself, an adult male main character but with no FTL technology... wait, that sounds familiar...

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters? Oh gg, they're ripping off Planet of the Apes, how did I miss that?
It really makes me miss the space apes.

While I agree that an animated film would work better for Goji, CG is the more cost-efficient route. I guess it can't be helped.

MHA and pretty much all modern anime don't use hand drawn animation anyway, its all digital cells made from hand to a computer, so no, its technically not 2D

It IS technically 2D actually. Being drawn on a tablet doesn't make it automatically no longer 2D. Those digital key frames are still being entirely drawn in a 2 dimensional space usually in RETAS or Flash. And for the record, even as much as digital animation has increased(and by that I mean, digital 2D animation), most animators still draw everything by hand on paper. Only after the animation is drawn is it scanned into a computer for the paint department and compositing.
