I don't like Fate at all, so I won't be watching this. I wonder if Aniplex of America will get the rights for this, since they seem to be crazy over anything Fate.

Also nice to see the attention to plot details in the new key visual; I recognize that sword. The early July start date's also great to see; there's less than a month until Rider of Black saves anime. |

Hmm where from and which one? Neither the gray or the gold look familiar to me. And is this an alternate timeline? Or set in the past (it mentions being after ww2)? |

Prisma iliya is the verse where kiri ran way with Iliya and Iri + shanked the Grail. Apocrypha is the time line where *something* happened during the 3rd war, 50 years before fate/zero. Can't say much else with spoiling... Sorry. |

I've been wanting to give the Fate anime series a try for a while, but I have no time to watch older series except UBW (it's on my to-watch list). Can I watch this without being confused about what's going on?

Sorta, yeah. You probably read the synopsis on the other various series just to get the grasp on what is different than the norm. You'll miss some stuff related to the clock tower and other stuff but nothing major, I think. But yeah, your must watches from the fate verse are fate/zero and ubw. Anything else isn't all that needed. KnK might help when it comes to the best and out of sheer quality, but it's not needed if you don't want to get into fate. |

I'm excited to see this one, for sure. If for nothing else than the AU master/servant designs. I've heard a lotta good things about Apocrypha!

The gold one - spoiler[It's Rider of Black's sword that gets lent to Sieg.] It's a nice bit of attention to detail, like how the UBW anime had Archer start off with one sword when he fought Lancer. |
