It sounds like it just reinforces the idea of "gay people = genre of fiction" which you sometimes see in various otaku subjects (regulating all gay guys to 'yaoi genre', all lesbians to 'yuri genre', etc.)
Like it probably has good intentions, but carries manga and anime's cultural baggage, which there is a lot of.

This series falls under what I like to call 'mental popcorn,' in that so long as you don't think too hard and just enjoy the jokes, it's an amusing read. It doesn't do anything particularly original, only highlights what a typical yaoi fan (female or male) does in day to day life. I myself enjoyed reading the first volume, and feel like the series will only get better as it goes along.

I did heard the manga was better compared to the anime a while back.
Quite glad I didn't book it when I was kinda drunk and looking at things on Amazon.
