Did not expect licenses for Blend-S and Record of Grancrest War so early.

Hell Girl 4 was also kind of unexpected.

I was more expecting them to have some sort of comment on SaeKano 2, re:creators, or Fate/Apocrypha if anything. I'm surprised they have not announced any of these yet.

Aniplex of America announced at its Anime Expo panel on Sunday that it will release the Hell Girl 4, Owarimonogatari season 2, Record of Grancrest War, and Blend S anime.

And by release do they mean physical release? If so, good because Aniplex USA has made a habit of not releasing on disc all the shows they license.

Watched the twitch stream of the panel, just streaming. nothing about an actually physical release

The company confirmed that Hell Girl 4 will stream on Crunchyroll in addition to Anime Strike, and Owarimonogatari season 2 will premiere "first" on Crunchyroll in August.
...
Hell Girl 4 will premiere in Japan on July 14 and on Anime Strike on the same day. The new series will have six new episodes and six "reminiscence" episodes.

I'm glad this will be on Crunchyroll. I wonder if Aniplex will do the subtitles, or if Anime Strike and Crunchyroll will each do their own subtitles. I also wonder how much after July 14 the first episode will be on Crunchyroll.

I wonder if "reminiscence" episodes are clips episodes with footage from previous seasons, reruns of episodes from previous seasons, or something else. I guess they're showing this in a TV time slot and need to fill out the "cour".

I wondered, why is it that Hell Girl has to have 6 recap episodes? it is true that the last season aired nearly a decade ago and you might need some form of recap to help old fans remember what it was like as well to bring new fans up to speed. But 6 recaps? that seems to over do it.

I hope these reminanse episodes have some form of new material in each one at least.

It probably still won't be enough to alleviate some people's complaints about CR getting the series without getting the previous 3. But at least there should be fewer of them (although probably replaced by a like number of complaints about "this is all stuff I've seen before").

I hope so, but I'm not counting on it. That second season of Mushi-shi doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon (or at all.) I'm sure they've decided that some shows would sell poorly at their usual Aniplex prices, but I would guess they've also decided that lower-priced releases of those shows would make the more expensive ones less appealing, which leaves us at the streaming only situation.
