Really? I mean don't get me wrong I like Kira and all but he was pretty milquetoast compared to some of the other protags he beat on the list. For example I'm sure Judau is a much funner guy to be around.

Though I would personally have voted for Heero or adult Amuro. |

What f***ing personality?! Kira Yamato is the essence of blandness. I have more personality than him, and I'm about as exciting as the driest saltine.
Really, all the characters from Gundam SEED are bland and soulless cut outs. |

Not really surprising, the mainstream Japanese fans have always been really crazy about SEED for some reason.
I'm more shocked that Heero is #7. |

Well seeing as how Heero's default setting for about 70% of Wing is "I'll kill you via self-destruct." I'm surprised he wasn't further down. |

I can agree with Kira he was always so nice and hot. La flaga and Andrew have the best personalities in SEED tho, but alas they weren't in this poll.
Other then that. Garrod and the Asuno's are too low. Amura is way too high. He has the worst personnality of any Gundam MC. |

Lol, personality...
Asuka Shinn remains my favorite despite the horrendous SEED Destiny series. But wow, Ran from X also made it, which is awesome! And Domon, this dude made me shout "God Finger" in my sleep during my childhood. |

You know, putting aside story development, I re-watched the early episodes of SEED recently (for research purposes), and I discovered that at the start, Kira's actually a pretty decent guy.
He's extremely capable, yet humble. He's low profile. He's friendly. He's polite and treat others well too. It's only when the story drives him into stressing situations and he gets emotional is when things get... weird. Especially in GSD. His motivations and logic were definitely not communicated well. If you think about it, Kira's personal traits actually resonate a lot with Japanese social virtues. |

But I honestly think that for personality wise then Loran is by far the best compared to other Gundam Protagonist As my favorite goes I'd have to go with Kamille. I also really like how Shiro is very high on the list, he really deserves it imo. |

I mean, I like Seed but oh man does Kira not deserve #1 spot. I don't even hate Kira, yeah he gets OP in Destiny but it's hard for me to get that mad at him when he's up against one of the worst characters in Gundam ever AKA Shinn Asuka. Well, at least Shinn didn't make the list...............SIGH. And right above Setsuna, wow, way to rub it in. Heck, why aren't the protagonists from Build Fighters/BFT anywhere on the list? I admit, usually the leads in Gundam don't really have as memorable personalities compared to other important or supporting characters but I felt BF/BFT actually did a good job making the leads' personalities feel a little less vanilla compared to your usual Gundam lead.

Yeah I wasn't aware he had a personality. Kira is a bit bland, but I don't really see myself hanging with any other MC, since most are giant crybaby or insufferable prick, sometime both at the same time. |
