I haven't really seen anything they did main production of (other than gag manga biyori which I am eternally thankful for) but, still a shame. Always sad when businesses close down.
I'm sure the LOGH fans will be very sad

Well....crap.

They did some amazing work. Mushi-Shi was a visually stunning series.

ANN page for Seven Mortal Sins says TNK was also involved in the animation production. I wonder how big of a role Artland had and if its common to have two production companies work on a single anime.

Kind of feel bad for them. At the same time, I've been praying for something bad to happen to them out of sheer spite over Sin: Nanatsu No Taizai. So yeah... I might have did it again.
First Manglobe, now this. I might have super-powers.

Do you guys think it's possible their management prioritized the quality of their work too much? To have their profit fall that low, from 2013 until now, I wonder what circumstances have changed in their production process.

Just curious. What caused your spite with Manglobe's case? Samurai Flamenco?

All of a sudden, your post made me realize the possibilities of a particular trend. Confused

Heartbreaking read. It seems they couldn't survive after Ishiguro-sensei passed. They will be missed

Not surprising, they barely did anything of importance. I think what truly killed them was that 200+ ep. adaptation of Hitman Reborn.

Surprisingly it wasn't Guilotine Gorilla that pissed me off. It's all the second half especially the last arc and the HORRIBLE ending. It should have ended at episode 12 or kept with the Kamen Rider parody. So yeah... it was Samurai Flamenco.

As for my spite of Artland, that's all on Sin. And I'm STILL pissed.

So you don't like a tv show and want bad things to happen to the people that make it? How idiotic...

I have been curious about the delays and recap episodes in sin Nanatsu no Taizai and now this news. The BD sales are not bad but that money will not reach the studio. Hope TNK can get the anime to a good finish.

Sad about this good studio. But not getting to be the main production studio in more anime hurt them.
If im not mistaken, since MushiShi -Next Passage- in 2014 they only here main production in sin Nanatsu no Taizai.

Anime studios are basically contractors. So the people who hold the rights to Hitman could still look for a new studio if they have plans to continue the anime.

Oh pls..just because sin is their last production it does not mean it was what finished them, they were suffering long before this.

To bad tough they made some interesting series such as Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Musishi, Demon King Daimoa etc...

However i did point out that the industry is reaching a point where studios are becoming bankrupted cause the current buisness market is becoming to overbooked, Lack of Employmeent due to bad work conditions and oversatuartion of the market(to many anime, not enough sales...you can only sell so much in already small population.

-Manglobe(gone)
-Artland (gone)

Who is next?
