Very unfortunate that this happened. Thank you having having an impact on many child/adulthood's. I hope his family and friends can get through this.

RIP

It has been a while since someone has passed away. I hope this doesn't become a trend again...considering past ANN reports.

Brilliant composer. His Saint Seiya score is unforgettable and irreplaceable, despite how good Toshihiko Sahashi's work on Omega and Soul of Gold was. Even Masami Kurumada himself referred to Yokoyama's music as one of the three essential elements of the Saint Seiya anime, along with Shingo Araki's characters designs and Tohru Furuya's voice. His Captain Harlock and Choujinki Metalder OSTs also had a big impact on me.

While Seiji Yokoyama had a reasonably long life and left behind an amazing body of work, I can't help being sad that he'll never compose another soundtrack, for Saint Seiya or otherwise. May he rest in peace.

Sad news. His score for Space Pirate Captain Harlock is in my top 10 of all-time favorite OST's, regardless of genre. I think I shall now play it in his honor.

Very sad. Hopefully they played Burn Cosmos at the funeral. It is the best track of anime music ever composed. The man was a genius.

Very sad to hear this happened, his music compositions for Saint Seiya were amazing and are some of the best music I've ever heard, especially his track "Athena Revived" from the third Saint Seiya film.

RIP, Seiji Yokoyama... Crying or Very sad
