They didn't bother me. I'm in it for the story and completion, not for fancy graphics. I've rom-ripped my Dreamcast copies of 1 and 2 to play them on an emulator on my PC when it gets closer to release of this one.

Doubt they will change. The type of game Shenmue was originally wouldnt be much in 2017. In 2000 yes, we have come too far. 2 mill is nothing to the acclaimed scope of what the first two were. It wont be a AAA title, Yu Suzuki needs to get the game done.

Anything Suzuki makes is going to be compared to Yakuza, and after the metric ton of minigames in those games (Yakuza 6 has a fully working copy of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Evo for God's sake), I question how they can do anything on their budget to match it.
