Considering these are are shorts for a zipper company, what purpose is there to give it an English dub? I doubt they are really trying to reach that wide of an audience doing so.

Probably because YKK is an international company that makes the majority of the world's zippers. Look at any pair of jeans in your closet, and odds are you'll see their logo.
