Wow. There's a live action series adaptation?

I wonder why now. I wonder how far the story the will go. I wonder how they'll do the ending.
Man, I'm done with I"s, but I'm really interested about how they'll work this.

My assumption is that because it's a rom-com type series is why it's being done. These type IPs are not limited by say overall visual style or a need for a high budget (you just get a normal Japanese school-life setting and get actors to act the story out). And with a story that has effectively ended both in manga and anime form it only makes sense to proceed to live action to keep the IP going.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of these more older series that are similar to this get live actions in the foreseeable future - To Heart, Tokimeki Memorial, Ichigo 100%, etc.

Wow. I loved I''s, and I was always surprised that it only got a few OVAs. 17 years after the manga ended seems a strange time to make an adaptation. Here's hoping the series is a worthy companion. I imagine that most of the explicit daydreams will be toned down (at the very least).

Didn't To Heart have androids though?

Anyway, I see what you mean.
