NUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :< At least give us a third season then! I'm so tired of seeing the story that could be something more given time and more episodes to flesh it out.

Given the fact the 1st season had good sales numbers, the 2nd season potentially having good numbers sales numbers would be a big factor. If it could be 24 episodes for this season, that would be even better.

I thought this was a given? As I recall, They pretty much ran out of material last season, and had to go in a different direction. If not for sales, We probably wouldn't even have gotten this season.

True. 12 episodes seems pretty logical.

As a manga reader I can say that they didn't run out of material. The first season skipped a bunch of chapters which are going to be animated this season. They didn't have enough material for a 25 episodes season, but they definitely didn't run out of material.
They likely went a different direction with the ending because there really wasn't a good place for them to stop in the source material. Bones seems to be more willing to create an original ending that tries to be satisfying.

I do not like it when a show has only 13ish episodes, as opposed to 26ish. But when it has multiple seasons, then it is fine.

I also recall that this season was announced to be 12 episodes long a while back. I love this show, but I am cool with just another 12 episodes. The only way I saw season 2 being 2 cours long was if season 1 had sold 30k+ discs per volume.

I agree 100%. In my opinion, My Hero Academia has nailed the formula for doing these kinds of shows. Working by seasons cuts out filler (although it did have one), Saves on the budget, and gives you plenty of source material to work with. This is how manga adaptions should be made from now on.

+1 to the anime absolutely not running out of material, all in all, the first season maybe adapted like 8 or 9 short stories out of like, what, 18? It skipped gigantic portions and marginalized almost the entire cast to focus on Black and White. Still pissed about it years later and hope this season revisits some of the skipped arcs.

tbh i wish MHA had more "filler". I'd like to get more attached to the side characters but so few of them actually have screentime.

As expected. Didn't figure it would be a 2 cour show. All the more reason to appreciate Chain even more.
