One anime among a few other good perspectives from Netflix to look forward to next year. This is the first time in many years that I look forward to new anime.
Now I need Adachi-sensei Mix to be animated.

Wait, so his kid plays for Mifune Dolphins? You mean after becoming a relief pitcher in the majors Goro still lives in Yokohama? I could have sworn I remember Shimizu and him moving to Tokyo (though that was before Daigo was born)
I still want to know who #6 is on the cover. That's practically a clone of Shimizu when she was in high school. And given the blonde hair and tall height for #4, I'd say that's possibly Joe Gibson Jr's kid.

Nope, hew grew over many manga volumes, several years/seasons. This is one of the awesome things about major, we got to see the characters since they were little kids all the way to see theirs.

Just to answer your question, #6 is Sagara Tao, #4 is Sawa Yayoi. Both of them are the main character's teammates in middle school and none of them are the love interest.

Hahaha, sorry to disappoint, though it would be interesting to see such development. We can definitely expect some bromance, if nothing else. 
Anyway, I wrote that because I've seen some comments floating around about #6 looking like Shimizu therefore she must be the main girl/love interest, whatever. I just wanted to clarify that's not true.

Hello, I know it's a little late but I'm curious cause it seems you're updated in the manga so I just wanna ask if it's okay. Did Hikaru appear again after he left for Gunma? It seems Daigo is already in middle school based on the latest covers but are they already in the tournament? I'm interested if HIkaru has a team he pitched for too. Thank you.

Not even close to being ready. I'm sure the end of their first summer tournament is heading towards a big development that will really "Mix" things up and define the rest of the series but Adaichi is taking his sweet time getting there. It might not even be a third of the way through the story yet. Try to animate it now and you get the H2 problem- a series started too soon, unsure where its headed- and eventually forgotten.
Which is possibly the problem this series could face.
The first Major ran for 78 volumes and 11 years and this series is starting 3 years in while the volumes are maybe hitting their early teens? But the characters might not even see that age.
At least they have clearly marked arcs defined by the season.
