I was wondering when we'd finally, FINALLY get an anime featuring Jeanne of Arc. I'm just surprised it took this long!

Fairly obvious, I think: Jeanne D'Arc is one of the few prominent young female historical figures out there. Hence she's perfect for anime/manga since you don't have to do a gender-swap or major age adjustment to portray her as a cute girl.

I'm looking forward to this, as I once wrote a research paper on Jeanne D'Arc and am curious to see how close the anime will hew to actual history. (Montmorency is the name of an actual French noble house which would have been active during that time period, though no family member rose to prominence in Jeanne D'Arc's time.)

Which one is Jeanne? I hope it's the one in red.
