I practically bought a 3DS for Ace Attorney, but with the way Capcom refuses to do physical releases for this series and also throws it on mobile platforms, I'd rather just inevitably play it on my phone.

Actually, I agree. I'm generally not a fan of the mobile platform for gaming at all. However, that's where I played the Ace Attorney Trilogy and also Dual Destinies. The series actually works really remarkably well on mobile platforms, and seeing as I have my phone everywhere, I do like having a game to play when I end up somewhere where I have nothing else to do.

Even if I get a Switch, I won't have it everywhere with me.

I've already got AJ:AA and PW:SoJ on MacOS for my iPad, so I seem to be caught up to speed on what has been released in the US--
The problem seems to be not that they're all going to Nintendo 3DS/Switches, but that Capcom just isn't bringing the Ace Attorneys and Professor Layton games over enough.

Professor Layton is Level 5. Capcom doesn't have anything to do with the series outside of the crossover.

Kind of expected that GS would come to another Nintendo platform.
