It's a phone game, isn't it?

Meh, unless they go back to what made the first one interesting it'll just be a disappointment at most.

Well, I'd be surprised if they're announcing another mainline title after Revolution was pretty much panned everywhere.

If it's a main line, please let it launch on PC.

Maybe a new title for Switch/Vita/PS4?

Hopefully it's either a collection of the first 3 games (so we'll hopefully get it here) in the first game's remastered engine or a new Chronicles game.

I mean, there's always a chance, right?

Rooting for the same with you. Valkyria 2 would be a little odd on PC or non Vita, but it should be portable. Same engine and all.

However, if they announced all of this for Switch because of some miracle, I'll officially have a reason to buy a Switch.

Either phone game or pachinko. Doubt that SEGA will put more money into this franchise after Revolution did so poorly (and rightfully so since it was a complete opposite of what a Valkyria Chronicles game should be).

My money's on a mobile game with microtransactions and pay-to-win. After the disaster that was Revolution, they need to make some money from the franchise before the corpse gets too cold.

See, the thing I don't get about these companies is the urge to completely ruin the identity of the series when making sequels. What do they expect? I mean seriously, if people fall in love with something, how in the hell do they expect success a second time when the sequel isn't anything like the original? It's like they had a meeting and it went like this:

Person 1: "So what did people like about Valkyria Chronicles?"
Person 2: "According to reviews and player testimony, the grounded story with believable characters, the turn-based combat, the impressive art direction, and the fact that it was a standout exclusive for the PS3."
Person 1: "Great! Let's milk this out on the PSP for awhile with new characters every time, dial the anime tropes up to 11, and cap it all off with a tried and true cookie-cutter action-RPG to send the series off on a high note!"

I have no interest in any of the mobile games, so i am happy for a console game.

This is a global teaser. Outside of Sonic, SEGA never launches mobile games globally.

But, on the other hand, it took them ages to confirm Azure's western release, so who knows.

As a fan of the first game and the anime, I would like to see more of either of those as an announcement. Though I would also love a remastered port to PS4 for the 2 PSP games as well here, since I haven't played either. Still I basically echo the sentiments of the rest of the thread. I have no interest in any mobile games they might want to put out. Hopefully this announcement will be a pleasant surprise.

If it's another revolution game I'm going to be pissed, people really want a Valkyria Chronicles 4 because those were the good games
