So the Ninja Turtles are going to be in Injustice 2 and Noctis is going to be in Tekken 7. While this isn't the first time fighting games have had wacky or unusual additions, they both seem really out there.

Why? There lots of better characters they could have could have used instead like Cloud.

From what I observe, Noctis fits in the modern era, while Cloud obviously comes from a steampunk setting.

At least, Noctis isn't the first and not the only swordsman in the game.

Great, another unusual crossover. I can accept TMNT being in Injustice but Noctis in Tekken 7? Just freaking why? They could have added DOA/Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa, Devil May Cry's Dante, or Bayonetta instead.

And so Tekken 7 became the Super Smash Bros. Of ACTUAL Fighting games!

WTH Harada? Maybe he fell in the Cup Noodles.

Which a lot of hardcore fighting enthusiasts will tell you isn't a "real fighting game" anyway (whatever that means).

The Turtles are less weird when you remember they were created originally as comic book characters and are being included in the roster of a fighting game whose cast is made up of comic book characters......Noctis in Tekken 7? makes as much sense as Norimao in Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter though not as goofy.

....Add characters who have already been featured in the roster of other fighting games and would fit no more in place than Noctis?

True, but I think the weirdness stems more from the fact that they're out of their league compared to all these high-powered heroes and villains (despite they've faced their share of crazy powers too).

^ Well keep in mind you got guys like Batman, Robin/Nightwing who are regular humans but with above average intelligence and combat training. Plus it's not like 2003/2012 Shredder, 1987 Bebop and Rocksteady, or the 2012 Triceratons are showing up so they should do fine :S

Easily one of the funniest trailers for a guest character that I've seen recently, Lars sending a request for Noctis to take out Kuma is hilariously overkill. Cool to see the other party members being part of the background and cheering Noctis on (unless it was just part of the trailer). I'm also looking forward to seeing how Noctis'll fare in competitive play.

Now.....who's the next surprise for a guest character and what franchise? I'm hoping for Kenshiro (or any of the Fist cast to be honest) or Yujiro to make a guest appearance.
