If it's not more To Love Ru i'll still give it a chance but i'll always be hoping that it fails. I really just need To Love Ru to be continued.

What he heck? I won't. I want his next work to be as successful as possible. I want to see what else he can do. I love To Love RU as much as the next guy, but I don't want the guy to be forced to do something that'll kill his drive. So yeah, I can't wait to see it. I've seen his other works too, he got potential. Now, that he has the title of To Love RU under his belt, I'm sure he could have a lot of creative freedom. Hopefully this work is interesting.

While I agree I also don't want to risk anything happening like a death or something prevents me from ever seeing the conclusion of To Love Ru. So I'd rather To Love Ru be the top priority because anything can happen.

With the way he draws and portrays Mikan... anybody wanna bet that Kentaro Yabuki also keep "secret collections" like Nobuhiro Watsuki Laughing

Here is the thing, you already can, like the article mentioned to love ru wasn't his first work and both Black Cat and Mayo were decently successful and both had anime. Black Cat is even a different genre, its action fantasy/sci fi.

I want to the guy to succeed as well, but I agree in this case I prefer to see To Love Ru because I dont think he needs to prove himself unlike other artists.

Liking and drawing loli characters doesn't mean that person actually likes real little girls. I love loli content but I want nothing to do with actual kids whatsoever. This whole argument is like saying anyone that plays violent videogames is a murderer. Watsuki had absolutely nothing to do with lolicon content in his works but look how he turned out. I think most people into loli stuff most likely won't be caught with anything involving real kids, because it's just not what they're interested in.

Also Mikan is best girl.

speaking as a fan of Black Cat (who also isn't much of a fan of the kind of series he's done since then; there's a few exceptions to that but not many) I'm hoping it's something more like that (or his even before that, canned after two volumes Yamato Gensouki which was more historical low fantasy). there's also the fact around the time Black Cat ended he mentioned wanting to go back to that setting at some point, either for a sequel or spinoff, and tie up some minor loose ends to it.

I'll admit personal bias here. Black Cat is far more what I go for in terms of demographic and genre/subgenre combos. I also headcanon Train as ace as heck and identify with his character pretty strongly. plus the Black Cat manga helped me thru some really hard times while I was being stalked (online AND offline) AND is responsible for me making friends with someone who would become one of my best and most supportive friends. but still, given the Black Cat manga was reasonably popular back in the day and he's mentioned wanting to do that it would be nice to see that actually happen.

I'm hearing a lot of news about Kentaro Yabuki these days concerning his new manga, but what exactly is his manga partner Saki Hasemi doing now? Probably planning out the sequel to To Love-Ru Darkness but they haven't even confirmed that he's actually working on it.

Also, when will XEBEC announce TLRD's third anime season?

ToLoveRu into space. The only logical option. But eventually, the whole franchise series needs to end.

No mangaka is forced to make X or Y series, the guy obviously love to draw To Love-ru and like Hasemi stated, the series will get a new sequel in some moment, which i'm sure that Yabuki is very well aware about it since both are working together for 10 years, also, the series will be publish on Jump Plus where he can publish the chapters in his own pace so he could pretty much publish two series at the same time like many authors do, but in the end of the day he will end up with To Love-ru again, but not because he can't do other things, but because it's what he likes and what really made him in this industry.

I would think that is possible, especially since I can see "Darkness" being deemed kiddy porn to many American. Heck, the manga is 1 step shy of hard core XXX and a lot of it does involve girls that are about 15-16. However, I do think that would be awkward or outrageous for Yabuki-san since he has a daughter that is 10-11.
