High level animation, and history with already badly worn theme. Oh really! I think the story will be great, but if something is called a "masterpiece" then it will be the animation that many fans are drooling at, not the story.

By the synopsis I have already seen that it is not too much, just a great story. Of course, in addition to the fact that Kyoani will "improve" [prune and take for itself] the story.

About darn time the premiere date came out lol. Been keeping an eye out on this show for some time since its first PV. Not a huge KyoAni fan by any means, but I'm really looking forward to watching it as it does look promising. Obviously the visuals will be top-notch, but now the question remains: Will the story, writing, and characters hold up?

nice to know that you can predict the future, and without having read the light novel, you already know how good the story will be. Please Give me some of your physic abilities.

Sarcasm aside, seriously dude?

I find it rather amusing that the blurb mentions Yoshida's composition work for Bakuman and Yowapeda, instead of the composition work that she's done for other KyoAni projects (K-On, Silent Voice, etc.). Although I think this will be her first job for KyoAni working with a director other than Yamada.

This certainly looked impressive when I saw its European premiere in October. Due to issues with the seating arrangement in the hall though, I could only see half of the screen at any given time, and had to intuit what was happening in the absence of visible subtitles.

Still, it made for a memorable screening.

Did they confirm whether this will have 12 or 24 episodes?

Again, a delayed release outside of Japan. Netflix is so disappointing.

It will likely be 12-13 episodes long. Netflix said that they will release the whole series in Spring 2018. Plus the light novel is only two volumes long.

You're upset Ronie is praising the story? (I've reading novel atm, finding the story to be a good one).

Wonder if both of the novel's volumes will be adapted

Well we could hope it will be a chapter per episode, instead of the usual three or so chapters per.

hope Springs eternal, then dies a frozen death come Winter.

Finally. A date. Going to keep expectations in check. The visuals are great as expected. It's the story I'm worried about.

Nah its not that. Its the fact he's acting like "the story WON'T be a masterpiece no matter what, cause I somehow know this despite not reading the story" Now I'm not expecting a masterpiece myself, but acting like your so smart you know everything is kinda strange.

Legality aside, I don't think a lot of people like me will have as much of moral/ethical issue having to watch it on a 3rd-party site when Netflix decides to delay it a season.
