This was expected. Looking forward to more Monogatari domination.

I’m not surprised, but I’m glad they are keeping the franchise rolling. Hopefully it doesn’t come too soon though, so Shaft doesn’t get overworked between the second half of March and Fate/Extra, and whatever else they have coming up.

Since this technically the end of the Final Season, I was expecting to see this sooner or later. I wouldn't have minded too much for Owari Ge to be the end though - it tied up almost everything nicely enough. The novels have been ongoing and I think that's fine in a sense but also I don't really want it to keep going forever and ever.

I am assuming this novel will be adapted into 6-7 episodes like Owari 2 was. I am so ready for Monogatari anime to end, mostly because I have spent a lot of money collecting AoA's BD sets. I suppose I am okay with watching and eventually adding Zoku-Owarimonogatari to my collection.

But I suspect we will see a new tv series to adapt the newer novels in 2019, which will be the 10th anniversary of Bakemonogatari.

I can't think any other LN-based franchises that has or will be getting this many anime adaptations. It's the "Fate/Stay" of LN.

Owari had a pretty perfect ending to the series and I don't think there's much more to be said, but as I've been shown before, this anime manages to change my mind every time there's a new season. As long as it keeps up the same level of quality, I'd be happy to be proven wrong again.

Hoping for a strong production to finish off the series. Happy this is happening, and that they aren't making people wait too long for it, but I would like to see a bit more of a lavish production than the last few arcs have gotten(excluding Mayoi Hell). I want to see the franchise go out strong.

This last 4 years has been best years to watch anime in my opinion, but next years are looking even better.

I'm not sure about this. Owari has shown much a closure, and I heard zoku owari is just a standalone epilogue-ish story. I would love to see those characters again, but also felt like the whole series has been complete that more stories would be unnecessary additions.

On another note, I wish Shaft could just find a new canon series/franchise to work on, just as when they first introduced Madoka or Monogatari, with new style of animation and all (I'm getting tired of Monogatari-style visuals and gimmick, to be honest).

Bakemonogatari
Nisemonogatari
Nekomonogatari Black
Monogatari Second Season
Hanamonogatari
Tsukimonogatari
Owarimonogatari 1
Owarimonogatari 2

I recommend watching the Kizumonogatari movies right after Nekomonogatari, but you can watch them at any point after Bake, and you can watch Koyomimonogatari at any point after Second Season.

This more or less confirms that it's not going to end with Zoku Owarimonogatari.

It may be the last book in the 3rd season but Owarimonogatari-3 (book, that makes it Owarimonogatari-2 anime-wise) was very much the finale to this overlapping 3season arc.
Zoku does belong into season3 but it doesn't fit in there all by itself if you end it on that imo.
So that would mean we're going to get the sidestories and the new 4th season (if we treat sidestories as 3.5) eventually imo. Otherwise they would have ended it at Owarimonogatari-3 imo.

Doesn't really come as a surprise as Shaft already said they're committed to animate everything there is to the series but Nishioishin isn't going to stop writing anytime soon it seems and for all I've heard s4 (Monster-season, which started with Shinobumonogatari) really is the start of a new something without going too much into detail here.

I'd personally recommend watching them in release-order. It's more fun, and you don't have to break your head looking for a total chronological order.
