Lol...
Back when ir was reported that Hinomaru Zumou would get an anime adaptation ir wasn't really clear ir ir was a 'series', ir was announced as 'Hinimaru Zumou Will get animated', that could mean a Lot of things...

Movie, OVA, web anime (Made in flash ir stuff like that) but now it was confirmed it Will be a 'normal' anime ('normal' as in broadcasted in TV)

TV anime? Darn. I was betting on a live-action movie.

No, this is just ANN being super late or really incompetent, it's already confirmed as a TV anime since it was revelead that was getting a anime but just now that they're reporting here, it's already confirmed that the anime will adapt the entire first part of the manga too but they aren't reporting this yet. Sometimes this site is just REALLY slow...

ANN's source for the TV anime was an early listing on Shueisha's website for the cover image of the issue of Shonen Jump that just came out today (Thursday, January 4). The cover image only listed an "anime adaptation." The inside of the magazine itself is what revealed the TV part. If you saw that news as "reported" already, it was based on early scans of the inside of Weekly Shonen Jump. Even if ANN knows about those scans, we do not report on the news until one of our staff members can confirm the news with the actual issue itself; we do not use early scans posted by other websites or blogs as sources for our news.

If you think that ANN is being "slow" on a particular topic, or you think that we haven't covered something you think we should (e.g.: the anime will adapt the entire first part of the manga), please feel free to email us at any time at [email protected] and let us know where you saw that news item. We will then investigate it. We have not yet seen any official source confirm the news bit about the anime adapting the first part of the manga, so if it is officially confirmed, we might have missed it. We are always very grateful for the tips our readers send us, and are sure to credit readers for the news tip.

I'm looking forward to finding out which studio will do this. Fingers crossed it's Madhouse so they can give Hinomaru the Hajime no Ippo treatment Very Happy
