Another Viz title that won't be simulcasted for Latin America by Crunchyroll because Viz don't give a s... about Crunchyroll.

Antecedent: Infini-T Force.

Cruse you David Productions, We could have an Vento Aureo adaptation. But no you have to produce a soccer anime. Soccer sucks.

This isn't Bleacher Report, take your soccer hatred elsewhere.

They’re doing this before Vento Aureo since one of the chapters in the manga include a reference to the Captain Tsubasa series. But until then, we just have to wait.

They'll get to part 5 sooner or later. In the meantime, a show like this helps pay the bills so they can afford to make Jojo look good.

If it's so, I reckon they're going to give them all-new voices in the Mexican dub. But if it were up to me, I'd give the last voice Tsubasa had in Spanish to Wakabayashi, as it happened in the J series. But oh well...

Congrats to see Viz Media going out of the ball park with licensing this title, along with their previously announced licenses from last year: Mr. Osomatsu, Infini-T Force, Blame! (Home Video Rights), and Mazinger Z: Infinity.

Can't wait to see what Viz Media will license next in their anime department this year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. 2014: The original Sailor Moon Uncut and Sailor Moon Crystal, Doraemon (The 2005 anime series with dub) - 3

2. 2015: The Sequel to K, One-Punch Man, and Hunter x Hunter (2011) - 3, 2 if you simply count OPM and HxH

3. 2016: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable and the rest of the JoJo's anime series, Terra-Formars - 2

4. 2017: Boruto, Mr. Osomatsu, Infini-T Force, Blame! (Home Video Rights), Mazinger Z: Infinity - 5

5. 2018: Captain Tsubasa - 1 (so far)

Plus, they can’t make only JoJo. They have to spice things up to create variety. No one wants to become the next Sunrise or Wit.

Meanwhile Funimation licenses more in a single season than Viz has in 3 years..

At least, Captain Tsubasa will be a massive hit on TV in Latin America. And don't forget that TV Tokyo or the Japanese licensor could separately license to other company, as it happened other times.

Given that Viz Media mainly licenses Shueisha and Shogakukan-based anime (makes senses since both companies have ownership stakes in Viz), their recent anime licensing output is limited. At least their manga licenses don't share that same fate.

If they don't butcher the story like they did with ROAD.

They will if it's going to have only 12 episodes, which is today's standard for the Anime seasons. Anyway I'm more concerned they won't include material from when the characters are mature, anytime soon.

That's the irony. In Argentina, Takahashi said it was going to be an original story, not the 4th remake. So I'm, to say the least, not expecting anything other than a massacre. I'm sticking to the original series.
