Just let me buy it for Region 1 already! If they are using the same dub I don't see why they wouldn't release it in NA yet.

Great movie watched the sub and it was nice can't wait to see the dub whenever I have the time and don't forget lol definitely the best movie from last year even better than "Your Name" when it comes to a more relatable and coherent story at least in my book

Man, I want to catch this in theaters so bad but I live too far away. Hopefully they'll announce more showings for Texas soon.

Good news is now that they're showing it in the US, I'm guessing it's only a matter of time until they FINALLY announce a US home video release.

I hear ya, I bought this region 2 UK Import but I'd still buy it again if it got an R1 release. Hopefully more theatrical screenings can maybe will grab attention of some licensees? Maybe...My personal theory is The Who song is what's holding back any release here but it could be (and probably is) more complicated than that.

Finally, an English dub that actually does something smarter than the original - hiring a deaf actress to play a deaf character. That really pissed me off about the Japanese cast.

They also hired child actors to play the child characters, unlike the Japanese version (except for little Maria).

Would be nice if it played closer to me and not at 11am. Would be even nicer still if they would just a R1 release over here.

I feel your pain! I also live in Alabama...is love to see this movie come to Birmingham at least. I’d be very close then. Might have to drive to Atlanta if I really want to see it. Wish we got more things here.

Had to watch through other means, because of the freaking hold up. Would be happy to buy legally if they did just that. Call me back when they do that.

In any case, for those who haven’t seen it,get ready for an emotional roller coaster.

Ooo, there's going to be a showing near by! I wish it wasn't so early in the day, but eh, that I can make work. I just need to convince my husband to take me, since this definitely is nothing he really enjoys. Maybe I can ride it off as an early Valentine's Day gift? Razz

Perhaps one day. I mean, we're starting to get a few conventions. It's a small start, but us Alabamians have to rise up. lol
