'[New Life+] Young Again in Another World' is not a title, it's a genre describtion.
The trend is just lost on me. Why do these just keep coming? They just can't all be truly original and worthwhile. I'd say that's true for any genre. But here, the topic is so very narrow and defined. |

I've actually read the first four available parts (sounds like many complaining about the story haven't...)
That summary really doesn't do the story so far any justice. In fact, it's purposely a bit misleading. spoiler[This seems to be going the route of OP protagonist. MC definitely is not an "average everyday guy", God learns she made a mistake and picked the wrong guy after the fact. He was a kendo head master, formerly in the mafia, and a soldier who fought in a world war. Lifetime kills (with a sword) almost 6000. And this guy just got a powerup and a holy artifact weapon.] Half the first volume available for members, so I'd say give it a try if you're already a member. Why does it always have to be a fantasy world? Old Man's War was a good science fiction novel where old people were recruited to be soldiers on far off colony worlds. Given altered young bodies to wage war against alien threats.

That would be something if his memories wasn't wiped clean. That killed the whole story for me. The author came up with an interesting premise and immediately threw it out the window. What's the point of learning his history and him being aware of his reincarnation if his memories are gone? |

I do actually feel the same way about that bit, feels like such a wasted oppotunity. However over the years I've learned that anime/manga/LNs are best enjoyed without putting too much thought into it. As a simple bit of entertainment to pass the time, I think it does a fine job. |

I brought this question up on forum for Japanese WN followers. They said it's just because fantasy's really popular there right now, and most writers prefer to jump on the established bandwagon. Most are not interested in doing something completely different. |
