Ah yes, I remember this. Saddest concert I've ever attended. It was a "Perform one song. Watch 3 additional music videos of the same song." concert. And the only thing the KISS members did was show up, accept some dipsy award by Anime Expo's head, and then walk off the stage. The way the organizers made it sound was that KISS was going to perform their one song with the group, but no...
Oddly enough, I was one of the 50(?) or so people that won the signed Momoiro/KISS poster. Anime Expo couldn't bother to notify us that we won and packaged the poster in the cheapest envelope they could find. I read comments at the time from others who won who said that their posters were either bent or severely damaged by the rain/snow (it was sent around November of that year).

Congrats to her and I wish her the best. Since she's following the "normal" woman's life...I guess she's pregnant, huh?

A little sad, but when I went to a concert last year her fans were on the distressing side to deal with. I can certainly see why one would consider a career in this industry to be limiting.

Well, that's odd. Not that she would want to do something else, but that the announcement is made just a week in advance. Doesn't exactly sound like something carefully planned out.
Looking at their schedule, they've got an already announced tour starting in March. Maybe a bit of a scramble to assign her singing parts among the rest and practice that?
