I'm guessing the Dragon Ball Super is going to end soon although it's possible it can still continue from a different time.

Looking forward to this tbh. I haven't watched the original series but the premise has my interest.

Fingers cross that GeGeGe finally comes to the US in some fashion. It's been way overdue!

Hrm. I'd like to see Dragon Ball Super do some post-Z storytelling. I hope it returns.

But hey, as long as Nozawa's getting more work, I'm okay with it, if Super ends well enough.

I suppose this had to happen eventually. Pity, Dragon Ball Super had finally manged to hit it's stride with the Tournament of Power. Still maybe they are only taking a break to work on the new movie...

Awesome, I'm always up for some traditional yokai stories and Mizuki was a master of his craft (bonus points for having to be manga ka despite only having one arm).

If I remember correctly, DB Kai aired immediately after the 2007-2009 Kitaro ended in the exact same time slot. Very sad that Masako Nozawa is not voicing Kitaro... but very intrigued that she is voicing Medamaoyaji. I really want to hear that. Medamaoyaji's voice actor passed away a few years ago. Crying or Very sad

I'm looking forward to this who knows what it means for Dragon Ball Super and hopefully a Western streaming service will pick up the new Gegege no Kitarō Anime. I also hope it does not end up having the same reception that Warau Salesman New ended up receiving because I liked that series but it felt like it kind of got forgotten.

I believe a separate team is working on the movie

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Toei being forced to change timeslots again. Toei had to face that recently with Kamen Rider and Super Sentai and that was hurting the ratings, I have to imagine, competing with One Piece and Dragon Ball Super.

It'd be nice if DBS got moved to an evening time slot so that they can actually have violence again.

Just to clarify, it appears Dragon Ball Super is merely going on Hiatus.

"Fuji TV says Dragon Ball Super is not over yet. Dragon Ball’s popularity is at an all-time high, with even parents and children worldwide getting into this hit phenomenon so it’s unclear why the series is going on hiatus and until when."

This the sixth Kitaro series, so you can just start here.

I have nothing against Gegege no Kitarō but this is sad news since this might mean that Dragon Ball Super is coming to an end.

I remember when the digisub ether used to dig up the 60's and 70's-rarity versions.
And no, it's not a particularly deep series, so it translates well wherever you start.

We seem to get a GGGnK every single decade by the clock, except for the 00's, when we got the live-action movie versions.

Two different companies. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai is from Toei Company and Dragon Ball Super and One Piece from Toei Animation.

Toei Company is the father company of Toei Animation, but for all things that matter Toei Animation is an independent company.
