Ooh so this was the anime project with collaboration by Yuru Yuri's artist. Premise sounds interesting with a talented cast.

This sounds intriguing. After Princess Principal, anime that have premises that star high school girls as spies/agents sound like a lot of fun to me. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one and I wonder when it will start airing.

Ah wew, knowing what happened to AgK after Takahiro started to focus on YuYuYu, I guess its time to give up on any hope of more content on the yuusha series outside of what is already announced.
On the other side, I always liked YuYuYu more for the slice of life side than the darker side, and it seems this will be that side distilled, so count me in. And just like AgK -> YuYuYu, you can notice some genealogy between unused concept art of the former and the concept of the later. Neat.
Knowing Takahiro, it couldn't be anything but Ninjas.
If we are going to be silly, it would make more sense to call it a YuYuYu knock-off, considering S1 and S2 of that outsold PriPri  But lets not.

While YuYuYu was undoubtedly influenced by Madoka, depending on when this series comes out, it's quite likely that it was in production well before Princess Principal aired. Original anime generally have 2-4 years of pre-production time. |

Well, there's a chapter 0 of the manga already: https://i.imgur.com/YePOzo1.png Takahiro said in an interview that the show won't have major male characters, either. He also said he found Princess Principal interesting. I think there's no more to explore from Yuuki Yuuna, so I'm fine with it. Second season was the perfect closure. I fear Gokumi will want to milk it somehow, though. Well, if they make some slice of life stuff, I'm okay with it. |
