Gosh, it's going to go that far into the story?

Welp, as I have a little bit of a complaint about the casting, I can't blame them for not getting an actual Chinese to play Kai Fish. It's good that there's already an indication this adaptation will go full throttle towards the end of the story.

I was wondering the exact same thing. The anime didn't get nearly that far.

The casting may not be perfect but I'm excited we have yet another manga-only character brought to life. Do we know how many episodes this drama will be yet? I'm hoping they'll be able to cover the entire manga.

The anime only had 20 minute episodes to work with, while the drama has 45 minute long episodes. (and can even extend that to 55 minutes, as seen with episodes 1 and 5) That's why it's been able to get so much farther.

Yeah, I was going to comment on the casting but
1. i wasn't sure exactly what race Kai is and wiki didn't say
2. if they couldn't get a real indian in for an obviously indian character than I wouldn't have any hope of them getting a real ....whatever Kai is (Chinese? Singaporean? did it specify in the manga? I know his assistant is clearly Chinese but it's been a bit since I read when Kai first came into it)

Anyway I'm probably never going to watch this but the fact it goes into the Kai arc means I'd have to sit through the heartbreak and feelings of seeing Shu looking for a ring for Tsukimi and his proposal and... Crying or Very sad
