Glad that it's finally dated, here i thought it would be sooner because they announced S4 and S5 at once, well i don't mind at least they have plenty of time to make it. I can't wait for the news skills and songs this franchise never failed to please me in this regard

Given that we've gotten a simulcast of the odd numbered series thus far, lets hope lightning strikes a third time (and that we get the 4th series as a library title).

Symphogear V: The Phantom Fist
Not really surprisingly that this series is getting another season. This looks like it can have a 6th season in 2020 or 2021. We can always have more HibiMiku and NANA WILLS IT.

I still don't understand why season four was never licensed. All I can think of is maybe there was a music license reason for why it wasn't?

It used to be licensed by Funimation, but I don't know why that fell through.

The license of the first series by Funimation was due to their partnership at the time with NicoNico.com (NicoNico.jp's failed attempt at a US-centric site). That license probably simply expired.
CR's first licensing was with the third series as a simulcast, with the second and first series soon after being picked up as library titles.

You know, for a moment my heart skipped when I read April 2018. But after looking the headline twice it says April 2019. In other notes, it's a relief to know that they have decided a date to air since I didn't hear anything about them for whole year.
