Well, that’s intriguing. Hopefully, it will all turn out well. Now I’m more looking forward to this film than before.

I wasn't aware this movie was going to be part of the Euphonium series in any way. Now I have zero desire to see it

I didn't like S2 as much as S1 spoiler[and I'm still salty that there was no actual yuri end] but I still really love the Eupho characters. I'm interested, at the very least.

Are you saying that you dislike the art style for this movie? I have previously complained about the lanky, and frankly ugly, character designs, but no one else seems to mind. I still want to watch this movie, but I suspect I will not like it much. |

Sorry, I meant part, it was typo. I'm just not interested in Eupho, I got bored after three episodes. I thought this movie was going to be a separate thing by KyoAni, but now that I know it's connected to Eupho (somehow...) I have no interest in watching it anymore |

I am curious how Yamada and essentially the A Silent Voice team can salvage those 2 characters since their arc was a real diamond in the rough during Euphonium S2.
I felt that Euphonium got in an awkward position with the yuri teasing especially since it's in the same season as Yuri on Ice which embraced the gay wholeheartedly and succeeded. |

Japanese fans are pretty angry about her joining the cast from what I've seen. Their argument is that they shouldn't just cast people outside of the industry and take away the jobs of true voice actors.

The designs are gorgeous, just like the Silent Voice ones. Y'all are whack.
Also, the entire point of the film is to flesh out and develop the two characters, so you not caring about them in the series should be an INCENTIVE to watch it. Plus it's Naoko Yamada. Of course it's going to be great. The film looks beautiful and I'm excited to see how the storybook world collides with the real world. If they do it similarly to how it was in The Breadwinner, I'll be very pleased. Also, anybody who'd be genuinely mad about this casting is a lame-o who needs to grow up. Like, this stuff happens all the time, non-traditional actors being cast in films. |
