I know this game can be accessed outside of Japan on PC. Hopefully I will be able to do the same on the Switch, even though it will be harder without the English patch.

Think your bigger problem will be trying to play a streaming MMO outside of Japan. The ping and lag will probably make it unplayable.

It works fine on PC, why would this be any different?

It works fine on PC, why would this be any different? |
On PC the game itself is downloaded on your hard drive, while on the Switch cloud version the entire game will need to be streamed through the internet.

The servers are still cloud based on PC. My PC is as far away from Japan as my Switch.. It would make no difference
