The ranking of top 10 has been quite consistent for a while, except Clear Card, which still has not hit the stride yet. As a IG fan, I am happy to see their sub. division Wit's After the Rain and Ancient Magus Bride are among the top, they aren't too successful financially speaking (we are talking about discs/merchs here, not huge streaming rights money from USA and China) , but at least they are critically successful.

It is obvious that Pop Team Epic's style of urban Japanese online humor is not for everyone, but judging from the ranking, they are not very well-perceived. I don't think it's the cultural difference issue as there are many western comic/game/music references and tributes in the show, what could it be then?

PS: I do worry about IG's new take on LoGH next month which will probably gets reviewed here, judging from the reaction I seen on various English, Chinese and Japanese anime forums, it will probably get lots of hate votes in the beginning regardless of its performance, would love to be wrong this time Wink

#27 and higher all have 3.8 and more. That's a pretty inflated week score wise.

Not quite. CCS episode 10 (#21) had 3.6, Death March episode 9 (#23) had 3.6, Grancrest episode 10 (#24) had 3.5, and Kokkoku episode 10 (#26) had 3.5. The top episodes of this week were high but the bottom seems about normal in terms of scores, aside from BC getting second to last with an average user rating of 3.8.

Actually, the first Japanese volume of AMB did rather well selling 7k disc copies.

I know that already, hence the "aren't too successful" part. Frankly I was expecting much better numbers than that Sad Since...unlike other production committee structure which manga publishers has most shares, in AMB's case, IG contributes more than 50%, so anything happened to the anime they will be affected the most)

Yeah, shrinking physical discs sales overall and AMB is selling BD Boxes (much more expensive than 2-3 episodes BD volumes) may be the hindering factor, maybe 7000+ really isn' t that bad, even for a already popular property.

Well, in this day an age 7k is a big number with the disc market shrinking. If AMB was selling 2k I would call it not too successful.

Not me. It is a high quality work, but I was very surprised that it sold more than 3k.

Yeah, I would've expected 2-3k, personally. 7K is significantly better than most things like this would do. If something breaks 10k on disc these days it almost definitely includes some kind of packed-in extra, like a concert ticket, or a game extra, or something.
