Nice! Hopefully Pony Canyon can deliver on these teases. Liz and the Blue Bird Film and Kase-san film developments of this nature are going to be very well received. Series too. Looking forward to hearing more about this...

On March 15, reps of USA Pony Canyon wrote "Introducing a new trailer of Kase-san and Morning Glories OVA" when they retweeted the original Japanese trailer, maybe they'll embed the English version into their own Twitter feed too, at a later date.

I wish PCUSA would say something about a BD release for season 2 of Euphonium. They should let other companies handle disc releases for the only two good shows they have: Sound Euphonium and Yuki Yuna.

Good news on the surface, and expected, but I still can't deal with them. They're literally as bad as Aniplex of America when it comes to prices and releases. Euphonium is still only available in an 90 dollar (list price) "collectors edition". No normal edition for a more realistic price (should be 40-50 dollars for 1-cour anime). I expect the movie to be released at $50 blu-ray when it should be $25 tops. KyoAni anime shouldn't even be released in DVD in 2018. Insult to their quality.

Why don’t they follow Sentai’s model for new releases. Nothing should be released on DVD anymore, why isn’t it only 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-Ray? Does anyone still buy any new releases on DVD?

We like combo packs and some other people also still buy DVDs.

According to the lists linked below, 5,935 Blu-rays were sold, compared to 400 DVDs, for "Gekijō-ban Hibike! Euphonium: Todoketai Melody", for example, in the first week of release:

In Australia, DVDs still sell more than Blu-rays for... some reason. Even though Blu-ray players are inexpensive. Seriously, I saw a PS3 for $50 the other day.

Japan is the exact opposite. They've almost totally switched over to Blu-rays.

Rental stores in Japan also still stock pretty much all titles on DVD as well as increasingly on Blu-ray.

For example the recently released exclusively as rental, so far: 『ちはやふる-繋ぐ-』. First streamed on Hulu Japan the disks became available for rent from, among others, Tsutaya and Futaba where both Blu-ray and DVD versions were available in equal numbers and were frequently rented out about equally - (small sample size).

The representatives also responded to a question about whether the company has plans to release the second season of Sound! Euphonium in North America, saying it is not currently available but they "are in discussions."

Is "in discussions" code for "we were bad at releasing the first season so we're letting another company handle it instead"? Because they've shown their incompetence enough.
