I would actually have liked having this on PS4.

Yep, I would happily buy this for PS4 or even PC. No real need for this to be exclusive to Switch.

Yeah, well, whilst all you Switch haters are having a cry about this being exclusive, i'll happily be playing Crystalis on my Switch.

Crystalis will never be on a non-Nintendo console, so don't hold your breath for a release on other consoles

This is fantastic. Definitely getting this for Switch.

I hope this compilation is not going to only include pre-Neo Geo games from the 1980s, though. That would be quite disappointing. There were so many superb games released for Neo Geo during the 1990s and 2000s. It would be a major missed opportunity. Not to mention it would go against the purpose of celebrating their 40th anniversary.

What's funny to me are the switch users that turned into haters when their switches bricked after nintendo released a patch and didn't bother to test it.. then it got blamed on 3rd party charging stands..

so I'll pass.. again

I find it funny that someone who was promoting unsubstantiated conspiracy theories regarding Dragon Quest XI is now acting all smug about a port collection that Nintendo may have bought exclusivity of.

None of the people you replied to even mentioned Crystalis, but okay. Why can't it be re-released on non-Nintendo hardware?

Never said it can't. I said it won't. SNK have a far closer working relationship with Nintendo than Sony and Crystalis has always been associated with Nintendo.

This collection is exclusive to the Switch because SNK titles sell twice as much on Switch than PS4, as stated by the head of SNK himself recently

And i'm not being 'smug'. I just think it is stupid to sit there crying about it not being on a certain console. Buy the bloody console a game is on if you want to play it and stop crying.

I'd get more of the SNK games myself on the PS4 -- I already have a few, in fact -- but too many of them are their 1 on 1 fighting games -- Fatal Fury series, World Heroes series and so forth -- which isn't the kind of games I'm really interested in.

I do like some of their shooting games, and I'd also like some more of their scrolling beat 'em ups, like POW, for instance.

And I couldn't care any less about Crystalis.

Do you have a source for that? The article I linked to that said Nintendo wanted to "make" SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy exclusive to Switch has a statement similar to that. However, that was in regards to Nippon Ichi Software America's releases. Tag Team Frenzy and this port collection are the first SNK titles they're publishing.

These are 30 year old third party games. It is silly that they're exclusive to anything. Rolling Eyes If other platforms are so hostile to SNK games, why are they constantly being re-released on them? It wouldn't have been some substantial amount to release this on PS4/XB1/PC either. The collection is being developed by Digital Eclipse, who've worked on loads of multi-plat ROM dump releases.
